X-men versus Spiderman versus Star Wars versus me?

By Firstchild, dreamt on June 08, 2002

I remember this dream vaguely, but it was something like an action movie. After the first part of the dream which I don't recall, I arrive in a cellar or some underground room when professor Charles Xavier (from X-men) appears, telling me that some villains are out to get some great energy source.
The villains (one of them has a red costume, the other has a green costume; they are both middle-age men, one of them has short black fuzzy hair, the other one I don't know) are on the far side of the large room next to the cellar, which room holds a large computer of some sort. They program the computer and one of the guys (I think the green one), who stands on a pedestal, gets some dark green translucent lights to go across him (which fills him with energy or something, I suppose).

I leap into the room they're in through the window with no glass and... they notice me and beat me up.
The dream rewinds to before me leaping. Now I time the leap more effectively and I am able to surprise them by kicking one of the two bad guys. A fight starts. The guy with the red costume can shoot electric red things with his hand, the other has lightsaber-sort of swords.

One of my (?) allies appears, resembling Spider-Man - he doesn't look like it but he can do this web-thing and hang around walls and such. He jumps around the walls, while I do big jumps (2-3 metres high) to avoid the electric red things being shot at me. I also have some sort of shooting ability so I keep the evil person under "fire" (or whatever it is). Once he goes down I get to fight the green costume guy with the lightsabers (no, I'm not into Star Wars). He gives me one of the sabers so he's kind of nice. I beat him eventually (he's not a real match, he lets me win) and go see the large computer mentioned before.

I break some of the controls of the computer so it shuts off. By the way, the Spiderman figure disappeared somewhere, so I'm alone. It seems that the day is saved, at least I don't remember more from this dream. On to the next dream of that night.. which is something completely different.

Comments: I must have been watching too many cartoons. We just had Fox Kids inserted into our Cable TV network and between two periods of studying I kept watching that for some days. This may have been the effect.
